To train posts and products for AI search in WordPress, follow these steps after activating the AI Smart Search plugin.
If you haven’t yet installed and activated the plugin, make sure to follow the installation and activation guide to get started.
Step 1: Access Posts or Products Page
- Go to Posts or Products:
- Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
- Navigate to either the Posts or Products section, depending on what you want to train for AI search.
Step 2: Use the AI Smart Search Options
- Find AI Smart Search Buttons:
- In the list view (table) of your posts or products, you will see a new column labeled “AI Smart Search”.
- Under this column, each post or product will have two buttons: Train and Forget.
- Train a Post or Product:
- To include a post or product in AI search results, click the Train button. This action will train the selected post or product with your AI search system, making it searchable and optimized for AI-powered searches.
- Forget a Post or Product:
- If you want to exclude a post or product from AI search results, click the Forget button. This will remove the post or product from the AI’s trained data, so it won’t appear in search results.
Step 3: Complete the Training Process
- Training Duration:
- The training process typically takes a few seconds per post or product.
- Once the process is complete, a success popup will appear confirming the training or forgetting action.
- If You Have Enabled Refine Content:
- If you have the Refine Content option enabled, the training may take up to a minute for each post or product. This is because the plugin will first optimize your content for better performance in AI searches and then train it.
- Train Posts and Products One by One:
- It’s important to train or forget posts/products one at a time. Doing multiple at once could risk missing or incorrectly processing some posts/products.
By following these steps, you can efficiently train or exclude posts and products from the AI Smart Search on your WordPress website, ensuring your content is optimized and relevant for AI-powered searches.
